Avoca Main Street Farmers Market Prepares for 11th Season
The Avoca Main Street Farmers Market will return to North Elm Street on June 4, 2025 and continue every Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. until September 24, 2025. The market will once again be featuring fresh local produce, baked goods, honey, fresh cut flowers, homemade soaps, crafts, and prepared food truck meals from farmers, food producers, and local artisans. The Avoca Public Library will offer bi-lingual family programming, and the market will feature weekly musical performances and other all-ages entertainment.
The farmers market brings residents and visitors out into the Main Street of town, keeping their dollars local. Amber Mohr, Avoca Main Street Director, says “as an economic device, farmers markets are an excellent way for farmers and food producers to test their products on the market and establish a customer base for a viable business.”
Market Manager Linda Schumacher adds, “We’re always striving to maintain a variety of vendors and to always to increase customer engagement experiences. Keep checking our social media and website, because there will be something for everyone!”
The Avoca Main Street Website and Facebook page will keep customers updated on special events happening at market. Check www.avocamainstreet.com or www.facebook.com/avocamainstreet/ for the newest information on the market along with other Avoca Main Street happenings.
Funding for training, outreach, and market development is provided by the Center for Rural Affairs. Funding for entertainment is provided by the Community Foundation for Western Iowa. If you are a musician who would like to perform at the market, contact 712-307-0172, [email protected].
