2024 Downtown Holiday Window Decorating Contest WINNERS ANNOUNCED!

The real winners of the Avoca Main Street's Design Committee's 2024 Downtown Holiday Window Decorating Contest are ALWAYS the customers who get to enjoy all the delightful and creative designs as the shop and browse downtown Avoca. But we get the opportunity to shine some extra recognition on three businesses in particular that really delighted customers and the Design Committee members!

The winner of the People's Choice Award, selected by patrons during Holidays on Main and Shop Small Saturday, is Lil' Vikes Child Care Center! Lil' Vikes perfectly executed a hand-painted assembly of beloved characters from the classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer claymation, AND they played the part in-person during Holidays on Main! Yukon Cornelius really struck gold with this design! 

The Avoca Main Street Design Committee selected MidStates Bank as the Best Reindeer Rendition! With adorable hula-ing reindeers and wishes of "mele kalikimaka" on their lobby window, they continued the theme indoors with a luau-themed tree and leis for all the patrons during Holidays on Main/Shop Small Saturday. 

Avoca Main Street's Design Committee also awarded Best Classic Christmas Design to Family Connections, Inc. for their perfectly-executed hand-painted rendition of beloved characters from Disney's Mickey's Christmas Carol.
