From Sunup to Dusk, Celebrate Independance Day on Avoca Main Street!
Avoca Main Street will once again welcome celebrants to the district for activities up and down the block lasting from morning through the City's evening fireworks display.
8:30 a.m. register for the Costume Run on the Courthouse Medallion. Proceeds to benefot the Avoca Veterans Community Center.
9 a.m. Race Starts
9am-noon Car Show on South Elm Street, with food provided by Raddberry's Bakery
9:30 a.m. Kids Pedal Tractor Pull in front of the Courthouse sponsored by Titan Machinery
10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Boy Scouts & Cub Scounts Floats & Walking Tacos fundraser at Avoca Veterans Community Center
11 a.m.-1 p.m. Midway on Main Street fundraiser for Avoca Veterans Community Center
11 a.m. United Church of Avoca food tent opens
Noon Register parade entries at East Pottawattamie County Fairgrounds
1:30 p.m. Popsicles in front of Veterans Plaza sponsored by Pauley-Jones Funeral Home
2 p.m. Parade begins! Milt Hanson is 2024's Grand Marshall
Fireworks at dusk at CountryView Golf Course, viewable also from Edgington Park
