2024 Meet & Mingle Participant List
Avoca Main Street, Inc. encouraging diners and shoppers to offer a springtime boost to downtown businesses with the second annual Meet & Mingle on Main Street event on Saturday, May 4, 2024. This district-wide promotion will feature shopping, eating, and drinking specials up and down the Main Street, with special Pop-up Shops, new business previews, and two ribbon cuttings.
The Drink & Dine offerings include restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and a preview of Raddberry’s Bakery.
Treat Yourself with personal service specials that include tattoos, piercings, permanent makeup, massage, hair styling, personal stylist, and color analysis.
Shop & Save at over ten downtown retail establishments to accommodate wants and needs, and make sure to enjoy the Free Comic Book day Pop-up hosted by Second Impressions Comics, featuring merchants, auction, and gaming.
And enjoy some Free Family Fun with a Create-You-Own Comic activity at the Avoca Public Library. Health & Services will include Family Connections, Inc.
There will be a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. to welcome OBOS (Or Best Offer Store) at 131 N Elm Street. This innovative retailer offers gently used items, antiques, collectibles, and so much more with a constantly rotating inventory of treasures.
A second ribbon cutting at 11:30 a.m. will welcome House of Colour to 154 S Elm Street. Megan Hansen is a personal stylist, curating confidence by finding an individual’s best colors and personal style in Southwest Iowa.
The Mission of the Avoca Main Street is to sustain our downtown district as the economic, cultural, and social center of our community by utilizing the four-point approach of the National Main Street Trust.
